Farmina N&D Ancestral Grain Chicken with Spelt, Oats & Pomegranate is a grain-inclusive dry dog food designed for adult dogs of medium to large breeds. This recipe combines high-quality chicken protein with nutrient-rich ancient grains, supporting digestive health, lean muscle maintenance, and a glossy coat—without the common allergens found in grain-free formulas.

Why Pet Parents Love It

• ✓ Real chicken as the primary protein (28%+) keeps muscles strong and energy sustained throughout the day
• ✓ Ancestral grains like spelt and oats are easier to digest than corn or soy, reducing bloating and stool issues
• ✓ Pomegranate and natural antioxidants support immune function and skin health without synthetic additives
• ✓ No artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives—just whole-food nutrition your dog's body recognizes

Better Than Standard Grain-Free Dog Foods Because

• ✓ Ancient grains provide balanced carbs and fibre vs. potato-heavy grain-free formulas that lack nutritional complexity
• ✓ Grain-inclusive recipes reduce risk of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) compared to legume-based grain-free alternatives
• ✓ Higher digestibility means smaller, firmer stools and less intestinal stress than budget kibbles with fillers

Best For

• ✓ Adult medium and maxi breed dogs (25–70 kg) needing high-protein maintenance diets
• ✓ Dogs with sensitive stomachs or mild grain sensitivities (but not celiac-diagnosed dogs)
• ✓ Pet parents seeking premium European nutrition without importing full bags
• ✓ Active dogs requiring sustained energy from whole grains, not just protein spikes

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this suitable for dogs with grain allergies?

Ancestral grains like spelt are less allergenic than common wheat, but if your dog has diagnosed grain allergies, consult your vet. This formula is not grain-free.

Q: How long does a 2.5 kg bag last for a medium breed dog?

A 25 kg adult dog typically needs 200–250g daily, so a 2.5 kg bag lasts 10–12 days. Adjust based on your dog's activity level and body condition.

Q: Why is this better than cheaper dry kibbles?

Farmina uses whole meat sources and named proteins instead of meat by-products, resulting in higher bioavailability and fewer fillers per serving.

Q: Can I mix this with wet food?

Yes, mixing 80% dry kibble with 20% wet food or homemade toppers is safe and can improve palatability for picky eaters.
